Yea, I can tell you really didnt play this game because you would know you can easily rely on life leach mechanics to heal yourself or other builds where you barely get hit. Uhhh nothing you say here is correct, grim dawn is not more complex in mechanics because it is not as skill based as victor dawn, you can dodge enemies fine, there are cards that increase defense and much more to like 200 defense while dodging, if you played more you would know this, also blink a demon power can easily get you out of being cornered, so can many weapon abilities, especially the tome.

This is a huge failure on the developer's part in recognizing that this game should not play similarly to tradition ARPGs which do rely on lots of health pot uses or abilities. There are a lot of situations where you absolutely cannot avoid taking damage due to enemies debuffing you and using attack patterns in concert which means that it becomes an excercise in HP management IE remembering to constantly tap the health potion button instead of bothering to try dodging or getting out of the way of attacks.

VV is an awesome game in its own right, but the WASD movement and ability to jump/dodge are not explored enough or taken into account when designing enemy encounters. Victor Vran is closer to Diablo 3 in its lack of complexity. Originally posted by Pretentieux™:Grim Dawn has many more hours of deep, involved gameplay mechanics. Lets put it this way, this game is unique and fresh enough to me compared to other arpgsn ive played over 30 hours solo, with any other game like diablo 2 and etc I couldnt play them by myself, I had to play multiplayer. Oh and people who claim this is short are the ones playing no normal, its cakewalk on normal, if you want it to actually be skilled based play card. While you do not get to choose what to level up in a skill tree, you do get nice automatic rewards as you level, and it lets you choose between certain loot items and chests, then you will have boosts for health, damage, demon power and etc. Instead of just finding random loot that increases your dps, mana, and mana regen for example your actually finding new weapons with unique mechanics that are powerful and actually have really cool skins, and feel rewarding, then you have all different kinds of cards for many many builds, so many builds, so many possibilities, and some of them have really unique mechanics and stats, then you have demon powers which are usually the same but more powerful, like last longer, more meteors and etc but I believe there are some with extra unique mechanics as well, I havent made it that far yet.Īnd you get to find outfits to that customize your build, and you can customize them even more by making them more powerful. There are plenty of topics on grim dawn about this and a few here if I remember correctly, grim dawn has allot of depth with choices of skill trees and such, and grim dawn has depth with cards and a variety of builds, grim dawn is probably a deeper game but this one is more skill based like bastion, also you can jump, many secrets, lots to do, legendary weapons, cards, and demon powers are actually legendary and have unique mechanics well most do anyways, the addicting part comes from finding them all.
